At The Langton we aim to help our students to grow their skills to become successful employees of the future. We like to utilise the help and advice from local businesses and institutions to help to raise their career aspirations of our students, develop their employability skills and learn more about the range of different career sectors available to them.
By getting involved you will not only be supporting future workforce development and helping to broaden the minds of the young people but you will also be developing new skills for your staff, forging community links and building a positive profile of your company.
We will support you throughout your visit to us to ensure we maximise the use of your valuable time.
Ways we would hope you could support our students:
Be part of our Mock interviews Day with Year 10.
Attend and present your business at one of our careers fairs.
Give an inspiring talk based on your industry or job role.
Provide a mentoring service for our students.
Run workshops and activities relating to your career/sector.
Help to bring a subject lesson to life by linking it to your industry.
Offer a work experience placement for our students.
Get Involved!
The Langton works with a number of businesses who support our careers programme and we would love to involve more businesses to help with the careers education at our school. If you or your business would like to support our activities in the future please email Sarah Kendrick White on skendrick-white@thelangton.kent.sch.uk or fill out the short Google Form linked here.
