Sixth Form
The jewel in the school’s crown and the end result of all that we do.
We are very proud of the young men and women who represent us and they, in turn, are very proud to show off their school to the many applicants who wish to join us for their Sixth Form studies.
Housed in its own new purpose built accommodation, the Sixth Form contributes hugely to the life of the school, running clubs and societies and working with younger students with emotional and academic difficulties, as well as working closely with senior staff to promote and further the positive culture of the school.
Our Sixth Formers work as prefects, house captains, form guardians, school counsellors, academic mentors and sports captains and all their opportunities are laid out in our separate Sixth Form prospectus.
We give every opportunity to develop the skills necessary to lead their generation through whatever trials they will face and do everything we can do to develop their emotional strength and independent learning skills. Almost all our students progress to universities of the highest standing and more of our students go on to continue their education at Cambridge than any other university. The Sutton Trust identified us as one of the country’s leading schools for sending students on to elite universities.
And if the opportunity of up to five A levels isn’t enough, all of our senior students are encouraged to further demonstrate their research capability by completing Extended Projects.
