The Cricketer Report – 2024
We are very pleased to see The Langton feature in the 10th Anniversary edition of The Cricketer magazine after a successful season in 2024.
We had success both in block fixtures and in competitions, including being crowned Kent Champions at U13, U15, U18 and reaching the Semi Finals of the National Plate This included some exciting and close fixtures against Caterham School, Westminster School, Eastbourne College and Bradfield College, which shows the progress made.
Our facilities continue to be improved with the re-development of our two outdoor nets and recent purchase of a new electronic scoreboard, which only further raises our profile as a top cricketing school. In addition, recent overseas cricket tours to St Lucia and Barbados, provides further opportunities for our cricketers to excel.
We are incredibly proud to be named in the Top 25 State Schools for cricket, and this is down to the hard work of our students and staff associated with the programme. We would also like to congratulate Canterbury Academy who also named this list. The Cricket Academy is available to students across both schools alongside their sixth form education, continues to thrive. Through flexible timetabling, high quality staffing and strategic curriculum design, the Cricket Academy provides training on a daily basis that is customised to suit the needs of the individual.
