Chess News

The Langton’s run in the English Schools Chess Championship came to an end last night at the Kent quarter-final stage, with a tense and hard-fought defeat to St Olave’s.

Sinan excelled on board 5, winning both of his games, while Lucas scored 1.5/2 in his last appearance for the school, but St Olave’s eventually prevailed 7.5-3.5.

We’ll be back next year with the goal of going at least one step further!

Next up for chess at the Langton is the national Junior Team Challenge (Years 7&8 only) – we will be hosting the East Kent regional qualifier next term.
